Today's weigh-in: 229.2 lbs.
Weight seems to be back in the normal area today. I think I might stop doing daily weigh-ins, as they seem to discourage me, even though I know daily fluctuations are to be expected. But on the other hand, the daily weigh-in keeps me accountable to myself. So I don't know what I will do.
I didn't get to workout yesterday because I had a meeting, so that sucks, and I won't be able to get to the gym today either. Oh well, I'll just go tomorrow and Sunday to make up for it (I usually only go on Saturday).
My eating has been really good today, even though I did have a big breakfast. Still on track to stay within my calories. I ordered a MyoTape so I can take consistent measurements of my body, that should arrive next week, as should my camera, so I can get a decent "before" picture up. I hope to have the picture and measurements up Monday night.

Speaking from personal experience, I would suggest keeping the daily weigh-in. It keeps you accountable as you said. Just count your real weight as your 'five-day average'. Take your last 5 weigh ins, and whatever those are, THAT is your 'official' weight. You'll notice that it fluctuates MUCH less than what a day-by-day tally is.
But yeah, definitely keep on it. No one got fat stepping on the scale every day.
Stay on the scale. It's the only way to keep enough pressure on yourself to keep pushing. It's what makes me think when I'm about to stuff something into my mouth. Just think about it. Some people are big believers in the five day average, some aren't. I'm taking a statistics class this semester, and the last thing I feel like dealing with is another freakin average, but it works for a lot of your fellow FAT members, so it's worth looking into. Just some food for thought.

Do whatever works best for you. If daily weigh-ins discourage you and cause bad eating, then only weigh every few days. However, if you notice that you are cheating a little more because you're not weighing as often, then you might want to reconsider the daily weigh-ins. I go in between the two methods myself...Libra that I am.

Yeah I'm going to stick with the 5-day average, even if the daily weigh-ins can be discouraging. I know that if I stay away from the scale I will tend to lose focus on my goals.
